PEPCO’s design and manufacturing of custom distribution controls is not limited to shipboard applications. In fact, over 4,000 Megawatts of Gas Turbine electrical power is generated worldwide by PEPCO control systems, and more than 10% of the Turbo-Power Pratt & Whitney FT4 fleet is running on PEPCO control systems.

In addition to providing a broad range of system engineering and design solutions, PEPCO specializes in the following Industrial/Utility services:

PEPCO Sequencer upgrades, as one customer put it, “dramatically improved starting reliability” and greatly reduced the Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) through improved system diagnostics.

PEPCO is currently installing a second generation of digital fuel controls to replace existing OEM Hamilton Standard analog controls. In addition to providing increased system reliability, the digital system will extend the life of existing fuel system Mod Valves by eliminating the oscillations that the existing controls induce.

PEPCO provides water injection systems to reduce NOx emissions.

PEPCO can provide performance monitoring systems that allow Gas Turbine Generator Sets to run at peak performance.

PEPCO provides Gas turbine engine power augmentation using fog. This can boost power output by up to 13% depending on environmental conditions and it reduces NOx (though not as much as a water injection system).

PEPCO can combine both water injection and fog power augmentation on a single skid to provide an attractive, more cost effective solution than two independent systems.

PEPCO has extensive experience designing, engineering, building, and controlling Cogeneration Power Plants, including the one which powers PEPCO’s 40,000 sq. ft. facility in Connecticut.
